State of Grace Yoga

State of Grace Yoga and Meditation, a Colorado-based yoga business, approached me to create a new website. The requirements included a visually appealing site, retreat bookings, merchandise sales, contact forms, and a blog. We used WordPress, WooCommerce, and Elementor for ease of continued support and cost effectiveness.

Piedmont Division

The Piedmont Division is a model railway hobby group based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. They approached me to develop a network of sites that would engage their membership, and also present information and member-generated content to the public. The sites were implemented using a WordPress multi-site network to facilitate data sharing between the sites and easy maintenance.

L’Association canadienne pour l’apprentissage du français (ACAF)

An educational website targeting adult learners seeking French-language education for daily life usage, rather than formal, grammar-focused activities. The platform offers quizzes, reading and listening activities with interactive learning assistance, an event calendar, forum, and membership payment processing.

Heliopolis Productions

Heliopolis Productions is a Toronto-based video production company that offers services in English, French, and Spanish. My focus was on striking a balance between performance and quality for a media-heavy site hosted on an affordable web hosting platform. WordPress was chosen for its ease of support and the client's pre-existing familiarity with the platform.

Emergency WordPress Restoration

A Maryland-based business was facing critical issues with their website caused by an automated WordPress update, and unfortunately, did not have any available backups. Considering the urgency of the situation and the potential impact on sales, it was crucial to act quickly and efficiently to address the problem and get their site back up and running.

CarBidNow

I was subcontracted to extend and maintain features of a car sales platform based on Vue and .NET. In this role, I focused on refining the front-end work, ensuring consistency with the existing design language, and providing ongoing support. Additionally, I had the responsibility of managing and reviewing the code of a junior front-end developer throughout the support phase.

Automated Data Collection

Using Python and Selenium, I developed an automated data scraping application for the client. It was designed to mimic human behaviour and pace, enabling unattended operation while avoiding placing a burden on website resources. The tool allowed for targeted searches based on specific criteria and seamlessly inserted the collected data into the client's SQL database.

Automated API-less Uploads

The client needed an unattended script to navigate the web browser like a human user, upload relevant documents to the correct transaction record, and avoid straining the partner's infrastructure. I utilized Python and Selenium, creating a tool that efficiently automated product uploads. This solution reduced manual effort and saved valuable time for the client on a daily basis.
